Forget gold. Where's the fun? I wouldn't mind it being miniature-centered if it were FUN to get the minis and not a matter of money.

My couple of cents
-Dragon Arena. Love it, as always. Figures something based on player-designed events would be the most fun. A little laggy, but its bearable.
-Beetle Racing. Pointless since some people cheat and the lag makes this very unfun (at least if you got lag in DA, theres still a chance you win)
-Quests. They are always fun. We need miniature Nians. SERIOUSLY.
-Chef Ingredients. This was a pain in the butt to do last year, and wasn't worth it. I didn't bother this year.
-Celestial Rat. Everyone has a chance at one, do the quests, get the blessings, you might get a rat. Didn't get one (yet?), I think its cute.
-Celestial Pig. Only certain people have a chance at it. This annoyed me to hell, but whatever. Screw that shit.
-Nian Mask. I love this thing!
-Explosive Crate. Kinda neat idea. I guess. Indifferent.
Overall rating: 4/10

Oh my, Guild Wars does indeed promote GREED.
There goes your games' ESRB rating, Anet.

No helms this year? -_-
Crate of fireworks that are only usable in your guild hall? Fail.
And these events are sending out a wave of lag spikes throughout the game. x-x

The Dragon Arena is the only part of the event that takes more skill than time (i.e. grind), and the players invented dodgeball themselves. Where did my Guild Wars go?

I thought it was pretty fun, as i didn't take part last year due to a holiday.
Sure it could have been better, and the things regarding Beetle Racing need to be fixed(eg getting dishonourable due to resigning, lag ect.)
Overall, ok event but not as good as others.

I missed last years event due to me taking some time away from GW, because of this i have no pig. So yeah, scalded for being a casual gamer. and now i find out that if i had 5 i can trade them for a different pig. scalded again for the same mistake, nice. In short, you can be a casual GWer as long as you dont care about anything.
So i've spent the weekend getting all the ingreadiants for the chefs, only to find out, you dont get the rat this way, you get a box of fireworks. Are you trying to **** me off
I'm remembering why i left now.
On the kinda up side, i got a new hat, on the bad side, its the same poor hat from last year.
Really poor effort and i can see me leaving again, a game that annoys me just isn't worth it. GW is meant to be an enjoyable and fun but its not doing it with events like this.

I think it was brutally raped after GW:N came out and it died when GWEN came out. I mean come on, even in WoW or Ragnarok Online you need A BIT skill to play in events ;o
But actually, I never liked Dragon Arena that much. I once liked Bettles, but only for their sqeeks. They're just so cute... Anyway, I've spent my event in RO and I probably won't join to get 2nd lion hat. Oh, wait, I can get it any time of the year...

I guess it pays off not to care about mini's or anything else for that matter. Hahaha, because this event hasn't caused me to be all QQ at all. I'm happy as a bee in a sunflower.

I came to the event with very low expectations and ANET did not disappoint. I bought 120k on Festival Tickets and afk on nine rings to increase my chance or retaining lock picks.
After leaving my computer on all night for the nine ring event woke up to find a crate of fireworks - roflmao. That’s it? Considering I had 20 red bags and 1 crate of fireworks means that everyone worked there butt off to get the ingredients for the first meal. Saw what all their hard work was for, got disgusted and did not turn in a single dish. Guess the community will be raging this weekend about the disappointing firework display.
The big surprise could have been something actually useful; one time reward that removes all deaths so that older characters can get legendary survivor, gender changer, etc… all they had to do was read these forms to come up with a bunch of good ideas. Don’t think anyone has suggested a big fireworks display for the guild hall. Well go to the guild hall to clean out my inventory.

The reward on the finale is just... shitty. I don't know why everyone seems satisfied with the OLD mask and CONSUMABLE... Perhaps no everyone wakes up yet?

Only thing I'd criticize is the rewards for bringing all the ingredients to the finale event. You get some gift bags and some fireworks crates, basically some party animal points, alcohol, and other misc items from the gift bags. I'm not sure if it's even worth the effort to farm all those ingredients. The mask is the same as last year and you get it no matter what. But I don't mind it being the same one since anyone who missed it can have another chance to get it now.

this whole event sucked, fireworks are not that big a deal, odds for getting a rat are messed up, how does someone open 100 fortunes and get 1-2 rats and someone open 500-1000 fortunes and get no rats, WTF. Anet went cheap this year, and with the release of the BMP in the online store, they are desprate for money as well, I see GW2 as one big fail.
